Re: Question of Kir Kanos CRL
Hey y'all, I didn't want to start another thread, but I also have a CRL question, this time about Carnor Jax. The CRL says the cape/cloak MUST be constructed of "black non-reflective, heavyweight material"; I have a Rubies Darth Vader cape which IMO fits that description. On the other hand...

Re: DH-17 Blaster
That's a unique and cool blaster you have scratch-built. I haven't seen very many home-made DH-17s. Thanks, mate! You wouldn't believe how difficult it is to find some SW items down here, at least in the primary market. And if you find them, they're usually quite pricey! :shoot: I guess I was lucky...

DH-17 Blaster
IMHO, the blaster is one item that really sets this costume apart from other Royal Guards. As far as I know, the only sources for the DH-17 are: Master Replicas http://www.omahajedi.com/mr-rebelblaster.jpg Hasbro http://www.omahajedi.com/DH-17%20repaint.jpg Custom made http://www.troopers.be/cma/Pic...

Not sure about that, but you can drop him a line and find out! His username is lummaf and you can check some of his other work in the Shadow Guard section.Squirrel wrote:Do you know if he'll be doing a limited run?

Great job, amigo!
(Just for the record, Lummaf is also working on my Carnor Jax helmet and armour, discussed elsewhere)
Cheers!

Re: Breastplate
And on a side note (I really didn't want to start another thread) here are some pics of my custom-made bodysuit, ordered from a local dancewear company. In the bottom pic you can see a detail of the belt with pouches (both are the kind used by police officers and security guards) and holster (the bl...

Re: Breastplate
Another update on the breastplate; the pieces have been fine-tuned (puttied and sanded) and are now ready for painting.
Notice the beveled edges, which IMO really enhance the overall look of the armour:

I myself haven't attempted to do it yet, but it may be worth a try.
