What's wrong with the velvet? It's possible he didn't scroll down in your imgur account and see the other photos. I don't usually post in ROTS, however as the CRL suggests crimson in colour, I'd say that's the one you're going for. What you took a picture of isn't crushed velvet, so should be fine ...

Maybe check out the IB robes? Not sure how they are myself, but they don't seem the same as the CP (FP) material. They also seem to drape more.

I would be pushing to return and refund. I would then go with another vendor. CP uses the same fabric as the old FP robes, and they weren't exactly fantastic sadly.

It also sadly looks a bit tight on you, almost like wearing a sleeping bag (maybe a picture with an arm out will help?). Not sure how it will hold up.
