Re: FP Status

Haven't dealt with them recently, but I think mine took a few weeks to be painted and shipped (requested a super glossy coat), and then a good month or so to make it here. The anticipation is killer, I know.

Re: Shipping or air cargo from Argentinia??

Both times I ordered from fp it took 2 weeks tops to get to me with standard shipping. I don't know where you guys are getting a month from, to the us at least. You're the first person I have ever heard of receiving anything in less than a month. Maybe being in the New York area (a major shipping d...

Re: Shipping or air cargo from Argentinia??

Not sure how much IBC will cost you, but it won't be cheap. I would probably recommend it though. From experience I can say that it does take about a month or so to get from Argentina to the US via the normal shipping, and $75-80 is accurate for that. Expensive, yes, but that is just how much it cos...

Re: Irish Kir Kanos build

Really nice work. I like your glaive a lot. :) I agree, that binding on the hilt looks fantastic. If I may ask, what kind of wood did you use and how sturdy is it? Is it likely to snap, or does it have some bend to it? My plexi blades are prone to sagging when I hold them perpendicular to the floor,...

Re: Force pike build problem HELP!

If it is a rubbery material...it may never dry. I've heard that priming it with paint for plastics is the route to go...but I can't confirm that. On my pikes, I've used a grease gun tip for the tip of the pole. It has a rounded rubber tip, and it took mine upwards of 6-10 months to get to a mostly &...

Re: Glaive - Rough Tutorial

Heard back from this seller. The silver is silver in both directions...not silver and black. It's just a trick of the lighting. They also sell a gold weave. So, the colors choices are solid, silver, gold, or black.

Re: Glaive - Rough Tutorial

I've received a close-up photo from an ebay dealer selling similar placemats. They seem to offer two kinds. One appears to be solid black, while the other is silver . The dealer mentioned a third color, but I do not see it available and have inquired as to the actual color and availability. Here is ...

Here is a scan of the placemat material I used for the grip. Again, this was found at Target years ago, and is no longer available. However, similar product might found in other stores or online.

Re: Glaive - Rough Tutorial

Blades - Cutting, Drilling, Greeblies, Painting Measuring and cutting: You should also have determined your blade length by now. After that, you just need to add about 4-5 inches for the insertable portion of the blade (the unseen part that will be inside the hilt). You will need to come up with you...
