Re: Irish Kir Kanos build
And heres part of the gauntlet http://i652.photobucket.com/albums/uu244/petesbigpants/IMG01228-20120723-2112.jpg It would be great if the chest and gauntlets were not clearly castings of my armor kit. http://img716.imageshack.us/img716/988/5crw.jpg I guess I should be flattered, but someone could h...

Re: Detailed pics of Sansweet's Royal Guard
That costume was made by a fan, one that talked endlessly about accuracy yet never provided information or one verifiable source. Said he visited the archive.......didn't.

Re: First velvet cloak done, finally!
Thanks! Needed help from a couple of talented seamstresses to get the details worked out. Left to my own devices I would have probably looked like a tent. I wore it to ECCC locally yesterday, had a great time with all the people wanting a pic with me. It was great that so many knew what I was! Being...

Re: How to tie knots and tie a rope belt
The guard is wearing a belt, not a rope. Appears to be either a weaved leather belt dyed maroon, or a knitted cotton belt. Most certainly not rope. On the old IRG costuming site, it was thought to be a navy style white belt dyed, but the weave is more pronounced in the LFL Chronicle book. Aside from...

First velvet cloak done, finally!
Took years to get around to it, with making armor, weapons, blasters, etc :trsuit: but I'm walking the beat at Emerald City Comic Con this Saturday in my new duds: a velvet outer robe. I was lucky enough to have a couple of talented seamsters fit me up and mod a cloak pattern. It will be lined somed...
