Re: How thick should the visor material be?
I was doing this before applying the film, but good to know!

Re: How thick should the visor material be?
I tried heating the material I already have, and sure enough I think it's going to work! The trouble is getting it smoothed out properly. It was no problem getting it to take the general shape of the area using quick dips in boiling water and immediately putting it in place, but it has developed lit...

How thick should the visor material be?
I originally bought .75mm clear APET and used a red mirror film on it. The trouble was, I applied the film to the flat plastic and then velcro'ed it inside the helmet, letting the tension and positioning of the flexible material maintain the visor's curve. Of course, that meant that the mirror film ...

Re: Shadowguard Armor and undersuit
No! It's a ripstop material, so it has that reinforced stitching to prevent tears. I'm not sure why it's so visible in that second picture. Must be a crazy flash, or something. In-person, it's completely imperceptible unless you're looking at the material from mere inches away. There's no colour dif...

Re: Shadowguard Armor and undersuit
After looking around for a good long while, I ended up buying the Engine Intake Suit Coveralls on this page: https://www.militarysupplyhouse.com/coverallsus1.htm They're made of high-quality ripstop material, and have no pockets that need removal. They're a little more expensive than the Red Kap sui...

Re: How to fit Shadow Guard vambraces properly
Nah, still working on it, but it's a bit lower down the priority list at the moment. I was just hoping to be able to work out an appropriate starting ratio, and then I'd go to trial and error. Thanks for the info, though!

Re: The force Unleashed Costume Upgrades/ increased screen accuracy
Did the bracers tutorial ever happen? They're the part I keep putting off because I'm not sure whether a slit down the inside is allowed, or how to properly fit them if I have to squeeze my hand through the wrist opening. Also, how committed is leadership to the Attack of the Clones style cloak in t...

Re: Recommended fabrics for Shadow Guard cloak?
I see plush triple velvet recommended a lot, and this looks good, but I think 44" wide is unlikely to be sufficient, at least without being extremely wasteful: https://syfabrics.com/products/plush-triple-velvet1?_pos=1&_sid=1af71ac01&_ss=r This looks great, and is (probably) the right w...

Re: Endor Armory is missing 2 people for a saber pike run
Anyone else interested in getting in on the current run of these? It sounds like a few people may have backed out, so he's now a few people short to go into production.

Re: Non-leather Shadow Guard boots (and belt)
(To clarify, I'm not saying they're over-priced; just expensive. I get that good quality tailored boots aren't going to be cheap, but I just want to be really careful if I'm considering dropping that kind of money on something like this.)
