Thank you for the support! I am officially approved! One major detail was in the fit of the chest armor. When the XL piece came in I trimmed the shoulder strap bits down some and mounted the piece a bit lower on my chest. This let my helmet sit 1/2" lower.

Good to know, thank you. The straps that I would prefer to use would be visible so I will stick with the Velcro option and attach them to the suit.

1. Is there anything regulating how the armor is attached to the costumer? Does it have to be mechanically attached to the jump suit or can it be hung over the shoulders and strapped in under the arms? 2. Without a robe, the helmet leaves a gap at the tops of the shoulders. What do you do to allow the helmet to rest all the way down on the shoulders?
The front lower point on my helmet rests on the chest armor, raising the helmet up.
