Re: Need Help reviewing my build
Hey byun21, Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, and thanks Paolo for the detailed review. I agree with him - with what you've got there, an AOTC build seems the right way to go. In addition to Paolo's comments, I personally think the robes in the first picture look much better for colour and...

Re: Need Help reviewing my build
No worries, glad to assist. All the best with the dyeing process. Yes, many of us (myself included) have been approved with Keep Trooping (formerly Imperial Boots) guard robes. Their version is specifically for the ROTJ Royal Guards (so only one slit for the right arm for example), but they're high ...

Re: JJ's ROTJ royal guard WIP
Hi JJ, Thanks for coming to us to clarify an issue you're having with getting approval based on an interpretation of the CRL Outer Robe requirement stating: "The front of the robe overlaps the back at the arm slit obscuring the opening." I took a quick look online and also couldn't see any...

Re: Need Help reviewing my build
One suggestion if you do end up going down the AOTC route and need the burgundy/wine coloured suede gloves is to get the ones from Keep Trooping (https://keeptrooping.com/product/guardian-glove/). They are pricey but are the right colour and design. By all means try the dye option first, but if that...

Re: Build Thread: Double Trouble from Down Under
I remember seeing this thread at the start of 2020 when I was wanting to start trooping. Glad you guys finally got in! Just a question though as another Aussie Guard, where did you get the fabric from? I've been having a tough time finding crimson and burgundy velvet both online and in my area. Tha...

Re: Build Thread: Double Trouble from Down Under
Hey great job getting approved! My outfits been on hiatus for over a year and am finally hemming it up. Good to see this clarified about the liner as I had no clue. My only issue now is getting the robes “no higher than 1 inch” off the ground. Watching the couple scenes in ROTJ with the guards it s...

Re: Build Thread: Double Trouble from Down Under
Yeah, something can be "lined" all sorts of different ways. It's been over 2 years and this is something somebody could go update on the CRL site right now. Why has this still not been updated to a better description? Did our staff send something to the LMO? Great question, I'm pretty sur...
