Re: Joining the Praetorians- Shikkakku's Praetorian WIP
Mobility is fine. A lot more movement than a tk. I just think that snaps are more sturdy than paracord knotted. Jimmi put holes in the arm sections to allow for snaps to be fitted. Same on the screen used. https://image.ibb.co/h2O4R6/992433-D9-4501-4-D08-9-C12-069-C8280-B0-BF.jpg Kind of seems a sha...

Re: Joining the Praetorians- Shikkakku's Praetorian WIP
Thanks Michael! I'll most probably lean on your expertise re: strapping and fitting the armour, since I've never worked with hard parts before and I'll need all the help I can get :) Neither have I, still not done with all the armor strapping and fitting. My friend Lee Cooper, however, has nailed t...

Re: Where to find parts?
Gio will come through. I ordered some gloves on July 19th which he promised me a week later.
Several ignored messages later, I got tracking last week. They’ll be here in 2 days.
Do 1 week turned into 6. But his products are good, his comms aren’t!

Re: Questions on CRL development
Just a polite request if there are any updates on the thoughts of the research on skirt fabric and under garments that a few of us have been doing. I’d like to get the soft parts done to go with the hard parts that are finished. Thanks.

Re: Praetorian Guard Shirt / Neck area garment
Thought I should add this photo from behind the scenes disc. It shows the hood of the costume being lowered between scenes. This backs up the wetsuit theory. It clearly can’t be removed whilst in costume so must be attached to the shirt. It also looks fairly thick by the way it sits on the actors ...

Re: Praetorian Guard Shirt / Neck area garment
The problem is, there is no L1, 2 or 3 on these boards. It’s all or nothing, hence the time it’s taken to research al avenues. If it turns out to be a 2 piece wetsuit, maybe the trousers could be replaced with plain black under armour like the TK’s. They are hardly seen anyway. The top half co...

Re: Skirting material
I’m in agreement here. It’s hard to see for sure from the LA pictures. The skirts are fairly damaged. I’m unsure if they roughened them up before filming. https://image.ibb.co/cHHJD8/74931_E33_FC15_42_F3_A4_A6_797624053217.jpg https://image.ibb.co/nR0S6T/095_CCE08_8_D0_D_4_ED4_8539_ACA7_BAFFB9...

Re: Praetorian Guard Shirt / Neck area garment
The undershirt being neoprene was mentioned a while back and was point blank refused. Maybe if it didnt get shot down it could have been found already. There is now a lot of evidence pointing to the under shirt and pants being a wetsuit. Too much for command staff to simply say the undershirt is not...

Re: Questions on CRL development
I will be perfectly blunt here... 1. Typing out "get on with it already" does absolutely nothing to encourage anyone to want to do anything more than they are already volunteering to do. Agreed 100%, this point has been made. 2. A call for input has been made numerous times and all that d...

Re: Questions on CRL development
I don’t think that any of the posts are meant to be taken as baiting. Maybe saying get on with it was a bit blunt, but there is a lot of frustration at the lack of updates on the crl. There has been nothing since March 10 th, almost 2 months ago. There was the announcement that the correct fabric ...
