Is it a single layer of materialthat is seamed on the ends to give it a finished look or 2 pieces sewn together, overlays for a more finished look, or no difference?

Also a kama question, does it end at the side of the leg or wrap some to the front, I have seen both.

Just discovered my Revan boots are the same ones folks use for the shadow guard...so happy, will have to figure a way to hold the spats on with elastic once I get the armor so I can dual use the boots. Also I have seen some images with the shadow guard with a cape instead of robes, is this possible ...
