Re: Color Questions
I would get some colour samples and consult the people that are going to approve your costume. We a kind of lucky in Australia sd the real velvet sold at our major sewing supply chain is the perfect colour.

Re: First SP Build and Some Questions
I have seen a 3D model print before and it was quite small internally. Being 6' 2 does the helmet fit? I also think that if you are doing RoTJ the wider helmet hides the pleats you are going to need to put in the shoulders to get the waterfall drop on the front.

I really cant comment on the Imperial boots robes, my wife and I designed and made mine from picture references and CRL for compliance. I also own a Rubies, they are huge, and they just dont sit right. The back...

Re: ROTJ In Progress!
You want it so it looks like its floating and your folds hang straight down. The 1inch is quite low as it is so aim for that, but pin it and look to see if your happy with it. Some movie shots I have researched maybe contradictory to the 1inch notion, but thats what the current CRL is and what your ...

Re: ROTJ robes WIP
Your shoulders appear to be twisted, as in the top seam seems to be around the back. To get the waterfall effect better on the front, and if shoulders are too low, put some pleats under where your helmet sits. Obviously needs hemmed but do this after your happy with the top. Looking pretty good so f...

Re: ROTJ In Progress!
Be mindful of your hem height. You definetly do not want your velvet touching the ground I can see in some spots this is still the case. Definetly get someone to hem it while you are wearing it.
