I am currently approved with the Rubies bucket, but the weight makes it so I am very sore after trooping.
What are the best options out there for a lighter-weight helmet that still has the room of the Rubies? I am in the USA, so would prefer shipping didn't cost as much as the bucket.
Thanks!

Re: Question on boots
I'm not an expert, but here is what I see: CRL specifically requires that they cover the ankle, those would be close as to whether those would do that. They also look more burgandy rather than crimson (matching the outer robe). This also has a rounded rather than pointed toe. Your first of the two a...

Re: Canadian ROTJ
Is that robe on backwards? I would think the zipper would be in the back. Where is the arm slit?

Re: Joining the Guard- ROTS Royal Guard WIP Thread
Welcome and good luck as you start your journey! I found it better to take the helmet with as I was shopping for fabrics. You'll find that die lots vary wildly, even for the same fabric. Get the one that is closest to the helmet (in natural light). That way, hopefully you won't have to repaint. I al...

Re: Looking for recommendation / suggestions
I agree with echo to check the floor length. However, I know my robe tends to pull backwards and then drag in the back and be too high in the front (I'm probably going to put velcro on the shoulders). When you take your approval photos, make sure that everything is sitting correctly. I'm not a ROTJ ...

Re: Fshfood WIP Thread
So close! Seamstress still needs to do the hem, close the back arm slits, and bring the front slits to the armpit. She will also put the rest of the lining in. Other than that it looks to me like it is almost there. https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4416/36180413303_016cfaaede_n.jpg https://farm5.stati...

Thank you. I will pass that feedback along. I feel like I'm finally getting close on this costume.
