Re: New ROTJ build
The broadcloth section was removed. Command is reviewing this as it should not have been removed as a fabric option. Was broadcloth ever acceptable as an inner robe material for ROTJ? When I was working on my costume last year as was written in our CRL thread (yes I kept a saved copy or my own offl...

Re: New ROTJ build
Hi where are you from? Inner lining should be burgundy or wine. . I'm not sure what colour that second photo is but it's pretty dark. I used burgundy broadcloth. It's cheap and good to wear. You're going to be walking in a glorified curtain so it's best to go with lightest material for inner lining...

Re: TB-61131WIP
Looking good so far, IMHO. My only thought would be to ensure trying to make the pole look as metallic as possible. Not saying that you aren't, but something I'd say to keepin the back of your mind. To me, if it's not metallic looking it's not quite right. If the weight of the pool cue gets to you, ...

Re: Making my Royal Guard
Depends on what material it is made out of. If it's synthetic velvet(teen) the best you'll probably be able to do at home is steam clean. Other than that dry cleaning is probably the only option. If it's a natural fiber, for example cotton, velvet(teen) you should be able to wash it in the laundry a...

Re: Canadian ROTJ
Well, might have found my saving Grace, my mom called Fabricland yesterday after my let down with the tailor, and they said they actually have a book of seamstresses, so that's a massive help!!! My wife posted a 'seamstress wanted ad' on Facebook for the area that we live. She requested working sol...

Re: Canadian ROTJ
Since there really isn't a pattern for the outer robe, make sure the seamstress is comfortable working with picture references and CRL text. As velvet is so expensive, I'd strongly suggest doing a muslin mock-up before cutting the velvet (post progresspics here as the fittings come and go for feedba...

Re: New ROTJ Build
The pictures don't work for me at work it seems, so I'm just providing feedback based on what's written. The outer robe material should be crimson red and the inner robe and outer lining should be burgundy or wine colored. For the visor you have several options, but cannot be mirror tinted. Smoke or...

Re: Canadian ROTJ
Hoping to at least order my boots and gloves from IB tonight. Also been looking around and absolutely no seamstresses in my county. :( :( So, I was hoping that a tailor I kind of know would take a stab at the robes, everyone's thoughts on this? While we're on the subject, does anybody have any clos...

Re: COMPLETE INSTRUCTIONS AND SHOPPING GUIDE FOR R.O.T.S. GU
