Re: Fabric volume

I've made the lining part and yes , based on the pandora pattern for people over 1.75cm and a 59-60" wide fabric you'll need 10 yards, if you have 54" you'll need 12. Do you measurements before you buy, dye lots may bary and you want the same color in one purchase for all panels.

Re: Would those boots from Imperial Boots be OK??

I got my boots from russia, genuine surplus jack boots on ebay, didn't pay near 169.99 you're looking at. Be mindful of euro sizes and go up one size since the boots are narrow, I'm a 10.5 so size 45 or 46 would be best 44 is too tight and you may want an insole.

Fabric volume

the pattern instructions online give an approximation of 10M of fabric for the robe (both sides, 20m total), can anyone who's made a guard costume that is 6'+ tall attest to this, seems like a lot of fabric and I'm sure the robe ends up being really heavy.

Re: Amount of fabric needed??

When ordering bulk fabric always order a little more, having to little could easily bring a build to a screeching halt. Although Imperial Guards seem to be the cheaper way of getting into to 501st (no need to buy an armor kit) it takes some researching to do (as I am doing right now). If you can fin...
