Re: wip need advice / pattern for sash

on mine i made that center piece around the sash out of the same material that that sash is made from. Also, I added 2 layers of batting inside of my sash to maintain a perfect shape the entire time I'm wearing it. Worked out great too.

Re: How does this outer robe pattern look

For my inner robe I used the pattern from the Easter costume. It's done except the hem. Just received my boots. I will hit Joanns fabrics tonight and compare your pattern to what I have. Is the outer robe suppose to bell out at the bottom or is it suppose to be more straight? And would a seam found...

Re: How does this outer robe pattern look

I found McCall's #2810 on eBay (unused) when I purchased mine. You can still find it there reasonably priced. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p3984.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.Xmccalls+2810.TRS0&_nkw=mccalls+2810&_sacat=0 As I stated though, the pattern is used more as a base...

Thank you very much. It's very rewarding to see it all completed and to finally have it approved. Hopefully my build thread can assist others going down the same road.

Re: silverBoyd's RotJ Guard WIP

Finally took my approval pictures. Sent them into my Garrison Member Liaison and I was approved. This is my 3rd approved 501st costume with a 4th rig currently in production...an AT-AT Driver. Seeing this Guard finished is so satisfying. I began the road to becoming a Guard back in September 2015. L...

Re: silverBoyd's RotJ Guard WIP

I picked up my helmet from my friend last night who painted it and it looks even cooler in person. I will be trying it on with my robes tonight so I can make sure everything is ready to take my approval pictures. http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y26/silverboyd/RotJ%20Royal%20Guard%20Build/DBB8D4B4-C...

Re: silverBoyd's RotJ Guard WIP

well...after 1 month of fighting with the humid weather and having to take a slow approach to painting, I can now say that my helmet is officially complete. Now to re-install my visor. Buffed and sanded to 3000 grit...that's not a type-o either...I used 3000 grit http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y26...
