Re: New Melbourne Royal Guard - WIP

So I had a day to myself today and I decided to get the inner robe and sash cut out and sewed together. The sash took the longest to construct (go figure ). As no one was home, I couldn't get anyone to pin up the hems for me. That will be tomorrow nights job. So for now, its on my mannequin. http://...

I'm going to be drawing up a pattern for the sash tonight, can anyone tell how wide the small middle band is on the sash ?

Re: Shadow Guard Robe Pattern

I've taken a stab at making a cleaner version of Pandora's pattern, if interested. I'm having a seamstress friend check this soon to see if there's any minor revisions to make it better. Pattern pieces are on 8.5x11 sheets in 1:8 scale. https://www.hightail.com/download/ZWJYZGVXSyt6NE1UWThUQw This ...

Re: New Melbourne Royal Guard - WIP

Boots ! I might have been lucky and be able to use a set of boots that I already had in storage (I have only worn them once). These have quite a low heel on them. Any feedback on these boots would be great :P http://i284.photobucket.com/albums/ll32/adam_scott6/Royal%20Guard%20TR%20AOTC/IMG2016011419...

Re: New Melbourne Royal Guard - WIP

After scouring all over Melbourne, I have found the fabric that I am happy with for the inner rober. It is a light suit fabric, and I really like the colour and feel of the fabric.

Re: New Melbourne Royal Guard - WIP

So I have cut out he pattern and mounted to card, this way I can reuse the pattern more than once and help other guards in Melbourne :tr2: This weekend I am gong to make a "mock up" out of cheesecloth fabric to try on for size etc. Again, this then can be used to help other new guards with...

Re: New Melbourne Royal Guard - WIP

Happy New Year Everyone, So, I am cracking down on this build and going to get this build finished ! For the undercloak I am using a McCalls Pattern 4002. As you can see in the pic, it has a slit in the front - which I will modify the pattern as no slit is allowed. This is quite a very easy pattern ...
