I'll just hem mine comfortably and hope for the best. A small slit and hem would make it easier to get on and off. I don't want it to look unfinished or to leave the neck opening too big.

What is the consensus for the shaft? Pool que, ski pole, conduit? The grips, smooth plastic? For the inner robe, what have people been doing for neck lines? Collar, no collar? How availiable are set photos of the guards with no hemets?

I've been reading a bunch of stuff regarding inner robe materials, liner materials, and possible changes to the CRL standards. Before I pull the trigger on 10+ yards of fabric, may I ask for an up to date ruling on what is acceptable?

I plan on starting my inner robes first.
