Re: SL-13377 Dawn Brights Pratorian Guard Breakdown

Thank you for this Dawn. It is the best breakdown that is somewhere I can actually find it. Once the CRL is done I will definitely be looking at sewing these soft parts myself (my most ambitious sewing yet!) thanks to these patterns and fabric closeups.

Re: Motoss' Royal Guard

It was 150 at the particular shop I went to but I have heard of some people able to find a shop that did it for 50 and others who paid 200. It is kind of a crap shoot to be honest. I did not supply them with the paint, I just told them which color.

Re: Licensed forcepike question

I got a Rubies just to look at and mock-up (bought it for almost nothing). They are REALLY flimsy, even if you fill it with foam it is sure to crack the first time you use it. They look a little off too, the top is really "chunky."

Re: Motoss' Royal Guard

First troop in the Red - cleared through my squad leader for the event, still waiting for GML approval. We got lucky and there was a pro photographer going trigger happy from the Dallas Observer (Kathy Tran): http://www.dallasobserver.com/slideshow/the-hard-core-fans-of-star-wars-the-force-awakens-o...

In the approval process, thought I'd post some pictures up for everybody: http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k306/Motoss/075.jpg This is my helmet from FenixProps with the primer on. http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k306/Motoss/077.jpg Mistake in my primer that had to be sanded out.
