Re: Costume Questions (about Robes)
Let me explain! All Royal Guards of Spanish Garrison have good gloves made with fabric allowed. You can see these gloves on the first to third Guard (from left to right). Some of us, when we are already members, decide change the gloves for another more comfortables in some events (it depends of the...

Re: New helmet questions
Welcome Kalyarin! This is my opinion about the helmet: I've never seen a rubber helmet, but, according to the pics, I think is not a good idea if you want to look as a great Royal Guard. That material is so hot and thick, I would not buy it. Fiberglass helmet is one of the better materials to build ...

Re: Costume Questions (about Robes)
Ok... I think both red velvets are OK, it looks as a good quality velvet of cotton, but important: helmet red and velvet red must be the same colour. So buy the velvet closer to the color of our helmet (if you hasn't helmet you will buy or paint one with the same red). It's OK if you want a inner ro...

Re: robe material
It depends of your height. If you are 1,75 height or less with 8-9 meters of velvet you will have enough (I used 8). But if you are more than 1,75 height you will need between 12-15 meters of velvet. For the lining and inner robe fabric (remember, the same) you will need the same quantity of the out...

Re: robe material
The best material you can use is 100% cotton red velvet. For inner robe I used 100% cotton twil, and friends of mine used stretch. Important the right colour! Maybe you can use patterns here: http://forcepike.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=1750 If not, I can explain you how the patterns for ROTS...
