I'm betting you could take a flexible motorcycle helmet, cut out the visor and put it behind the current visor. It'll be dark enough but still look red. Actually, the rubies comes with a smoke tinted lense to start with, it just isn't very dark.... I'd recommend replacing it with the red mirror vis...

I'm interested in the new Rubies helmet as well, mostly because of the economy of it. Lucious, does the rubies helmet just need modification to the visor to meet 501st standards? Has anyone bought/held one of these? Are they sturdy? I know that rubies is mostly know for producing substandard costume...
