Re: ROTJ CRL Updates
After reading all the posts, I started trying different things to achieve the look. I pinned up some pleats to achieve the drape effect and thought it started to look ok. http://i1065.photobucket.com/albums/u387/cjfrancese79/Royal%20Guard/D920BB9C-5622-4EA6-A303-28678A578266_zpsfp19bo59.jpg BUT, whe...

Re: Shadow Guard Helmet Mod
Sanding and bondo, sanding and bondo. I was using black primer on something else and threw a coat on the helmet to check for imperfections since the final paint will be a flat black. Still have some more fine tuning to do. But again, it's for display so I'm not too concerned with perfection http://i...

Re: ROTJ CRL Updates
I personally feel that before you make changes to the CRL that require a certain drape and wave pattern on chest, there should be a detailed tutorial on how to tailor the robes that way. I constructed my robes the way FP does and wish I found some of the images where and extra panel is added on the ...

Re: Shadow Guard Helmet Mod
Got a little more work done on this. Still need more finesse along the visor lip and edges, but it's coming along nicely. I have to leave the corners kinda rounded because they were too thin and starting to crack. Since this is only for display I'm not too worried about having exactly the correct sh...

Re: Shadow Guard Helmet Mod
I finally had a chance to do some more work on this helmet. There is a lot more wrong with it than I thought, so it will definitely be for display only. That being said, it doesn't hurt to learn and work on different techniques. So I needed to go back in and add the lip to the top edge of the visor ...

Re: Shadow Guard Helmet Mod
OK, This is probably going to end up being a display helmet anyway.
However, it would be a good idea if someone would post a helmet pict with measurements so someone else doesn't ruin their helmet by cutting too much.

Shadow Guard Helmet Mod
Hey folks, I got ahold of this RG helmet that was pretty beat up and decided to do some work to bring it up. It was really thin and cracked around the edges so I decided to trim it up into a Shadow guard. Here's some pictures http://i1065.photobucket.com/albums/u387/cjfrancese79/Shadow%20Guard%20Hel...

Re: Helmet on ebay
I have my helmet from him as well and i love it. My only 2 things, 1 it is prepainted and hard to find fabric to match if you don't want to repaint it, 2 it is a big helmet, which works great for bigger troopers like myself but might look disportionate for someone with smaller frames.

Re: Condensation issues
The only real condensation issues I've ever had are when it's cold outside and the heat and moisture inside build up.
